5 Ways To Generate Business On LinkedIn Tip #4 Group InMails
http://SalesTipADay.com Chris Hamilton 403-630-1243 Hi there. It’s Chris Hamilton here with Sales Tip A Day, www.salestipaday.com. Today I’m going to talk about tip number 4 of 5 Ways to Generate Business On LinkedIn, which is leveraging the group InMails function on LinkedIn. How do you find this? First of all, if you go to the Advanced People Search on LinkedIn just by clicking on the top bar Advanced, it will bring up this people search. Once you’re in there, set up certain parameters of how you want to search, but make sure you search against group members, and then bring up the results. Once you bring up the results, what you can do is you go take a look at a person’s profile and you see which group you’re a part of. They should have a listing of their groups that are in there. If you don’t see anything … In this case, there’s a whole bunch of plus joins underneath one of these groups, which means that you’re not a member. If you click on the see 25 more, you know somewhere you’re going to be a member with this person. In this case, with James, I’m actually a member of the Oil and Gas Industry Professionals on LinkedIn, that group. When I click on that, it’s going to bring me over to the Oil and Gas Industry’s People group on LinkedIn. If I click on the members, what it allows me to do is search against members in the group. When you do that, what happens is there’s a little envelope that pops up besides the person’s name. When you click on that, it allows you to send a message to them. For example, you’re not connected to these people, but the only way you are connected to them is through a group. If that’s the case, this is a great way to be able to reach out to them. Be weary about who you actually send these group InMails to because you only get 15 of these a month to send out to people, so make sure every single one counts. My other tip in here is don’t send something salesy, send something to James that’s of interest to him or beneficial to him or is going to make his life easier. That could be a white paper, could be an invitation to a webinar, could be invitation to a course that you may have put together, whatever it is. Something that’s educational and is going to help them out. That’s my suggestion if you’re going to reach out to these people. You can do cold emails and try to generate leads through this simple paid feature. Step #4: 1:37 Get skill endorsements or recommendations. The more people that vouch for you, the more trust you will build. This will show that you are good at what you do. Step #5: 2:02 Use Linkedin Autofill: When you have lead forms on your website, LinkedIn Autofill will prepopulate the data for people. That way people won’t have to enter their name, email, phone number or any other personal details. This will help boost your conversion rate and help you get more leads.
